L’Allegro from Gershwin’s piano concerto est un arrangement pour 10 cors du 1^er mouvement du célèbre concerto en F, composé en 1925 par George Gershwin.

D’une durée de 13min10, ce morceau alterne habilement moments grandioses et mélodies raffinées aux couleurs jazzy, auxquelles s’ajoute le son chaud et majestueux du cor.

Une attention particulière a été apportée au respect de l’œuvre originale.

Aussi les parties solistes offrent-elles donc de nombreux et intéressants challenges techniques ( chromatismes, grands intervalles et vélocité..)

This is an arrangement for 10 horns of the Allegro from the famous Piano Concerto in F, written in 1925 by George Gershwin.

Lasting 13’10, this piece brilliantly alterns grandiose moments and refined jazzy melodies, to which is added the warm and majestic sound of the horn.

The arrangement was created faithfully to the original piece.

The soloist parts therefore offer lots of interesting technical challenges (chromaticisms, big intervals and velocity..)
